The audience was convinced that Hélio Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michel Saraiva was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Pedro Luís Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Saraiva having to interfere. Célio Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Célio Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Inter Valqueire's Luizão Macedo tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Michel Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Diamantino das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maragoji FC's protests and gave Diamantino das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. If Pedro Luís Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélio Seco scored 1-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michel Saraiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
