After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Mazinho Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bigodes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovanni Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Bigodes FC's goalkeeper Mateus Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredão Queiroz. After a rather tough play, Bigodes FC's Tiago Matos got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 33 played minutes Bigodes FC got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Sousa. In the 35th minute, Alfredão Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th match minute, Bigodes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márcio Sousa to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredão Queiroz to strike the kick off in the second half. Bigodes FC's Mateus Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Bastos in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bigodes FC's Márcio Sousa got a free kick in the 58th minute. A collision led to BERTHOLDO. FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Zé Paulo Machado hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Zé Paulo Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateus Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Bastos in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Alfredão Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredão Queiroz couldn't finish the play.
