Sérgio Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Sarmento in the 5th minute of the match. Sérgio Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Sarmento in the 6th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Guga Paiva rounded MINAÇU F.C's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, MINAÇU F.C's Haroldo Hoffmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sérgio Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Paiva in the 27th minute of play forced MINAÇU F.C's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guga Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Luz having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Sarmento in the 33rd minute of play forced Ratola FC's goalkeeper Sérgio Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hílton Lago hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, MINAÇU F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Paiva came free, but Luiz Gustavo Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Luz having to interfere. Victor Lopez's late challenge caught a Ratola FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. Victor Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 50th minute, Guga Paiva fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Luiz Gustavo Luz, passed just outside the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 55 played minutes MINAÇU F.C got a freekick which was hit by Victor Lopez. In the 57th match minute, MINAÇU F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes in the game, Guga Paiva dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Luiz Eduardo Mello hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Guga Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Luz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir Leite in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Gustavo Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Haroldo Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Quirino having to interfere. Guga Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Quirino made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Haroldo Hoffmann sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd match minute, Ratola FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Virgílio Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Sérgio Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, MINAÇU F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Paiva came free, but Luiz Gustavo Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Guga Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Ratola FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guga Paiva couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ratola FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while MINAÇU F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
