An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Ribeiro in the 9th minute of play forced Pontal do Sul's goalkeeper Edmundo de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Dogs's zone, Guto Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Teles came out of the goal and Guto Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Dino Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Dogs's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundo de Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luan Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Dino Ribeiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edmundo de Castro, passed just outside the right post. Edmundo de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Edmundo de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute, Dino Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luan Sá scored 1-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmundo de Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Luan Sá put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Edmundo de Castro. In the 65thth minute of the game Luan Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontal do Sul's Edmundo de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dino Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Golden Dogs players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
