But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luan Sá couldn't finish the play. Dino Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho da Silveira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Dogs's zone, Giuseppe Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Teles came out of the goal and Giuseppe Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giuseppe Trevisan to make the kick off. Pedrinho da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luan Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Golden Dogs's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
