If Geovanni Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovanni Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Brito hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Acácio Vianna was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Beto Maia. Lúcio Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Chaves having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Vargen's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Madureira came free, but Marquinhos Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
