Spectators: 7215 (Terracing: 5412, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorge Penha started the match with the kick off. If Gino Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Jorge Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Firmiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Didi Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Cachimho SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didi Sarmento couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Firmiano's Silvério Toledo got a free kick in the 14th minute. Gino Torres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Eurico Vianna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Luizinho de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Cachimho SS's Didi Sarmento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eurico Vianna. That made the score 1-1 after 24 minutes of play. Frederico Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Didi Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luizão Alvarenga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frederico Fernandes. Cachimho SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Firmiano's goal looked a bit too open when Adilson Viana came free, but Eurico Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Fernandes having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Didi Sarmento to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didi Sarmento in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico Vianna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57thth minute of the game Jorge Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cachimho SS's Frederico Fernandes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nicolas Madureira's late challenge caught a Firmiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Cachimho SS got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Madureira. Luizão Alvarenga hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Gino Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Eurico Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Didi Sarmento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Eurico Vianna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 76 minutes, Gino Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachimho SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Gino Torres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Eurico Vianna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Frederico Fernandes was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Jorge Penha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorge Penha really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. In the 90th minute, Gino Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd match minute, Firmiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. Gino Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Firmiano's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Firmiano may have spent more time on the ball, but Cachimho SS were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
