Warriors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Fontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Warriors FC's zone, Antônio Carlos das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Varela came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wágner Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Carlos Eduardo Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Warriors FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Carlos Eduardo Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Sena in the 90th minute of the match. Vicente Alves hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Wágner Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warriors FC's Aníbal Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Warriors FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
