Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Geovanni Fontes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Geovanni Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Cléber Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Vargen booed when Corrida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matheus Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Chaves having to interfere. With a little luck, Vargen's Marquinhos Chaves got control of the ball when Matheus Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Matheus Leite came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Corrida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Leite couldn't finish the play. When Umberto Maia fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vargen's protests and gave Umberto Maia a yellow card for diving instead. 19 minutes into the match, Vargen's goalkeeper Marquinhos Chaves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matheus Leite. After 19 minutes of play Vargen's Umberto Maia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Umberto Maia hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Frank Moreno struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Marquinhos Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corrida. Matheus Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Chaves having to interfere. Marquinhos Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vargen's Luís Gustavo Catarinense got a free kick in the 29th minute. Frank Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Corrida's Matheus Leite ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marquinhos Chaves. Marquinhos Chaves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 40 minutes into the game, Beto Maia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vargen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corrida the free kick. Beto Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Corrida's Yan Miranda got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matheus Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Marquinhos Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Moreno was the one to do the kick off. Marquinhos Chaves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Moreno's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Genílson Coutinho hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Luís Gustavo Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Vargen's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Leite came free, but Marquinhos Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vargen booed when Corrida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Frank Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marquinhos Chaves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Matheus Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes Vargen got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Fontes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Moreno in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Chaves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Corrida's Frank Moreno in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vargen's goalie prevented a goal. After 90 minutes, Matheus Leite made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vargen's Marquinhos Chaves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the game, Frank Moreno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Marquinhos Chaves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Corrida had played much better football throughout.
