With a little luck, Audax Paulista's Acácio Vianna got control of the ball when Frank Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lúcio Peres in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléber Meireles saved Corrida from getting behind. The supporters of Corrida booed when Audax Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Matheus Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Acácio Vianna was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Acácio Vianna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matheus Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Matheus Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. When Matheus Leite came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Corrida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Leite couldn't finish the play. Alfredo Dantas charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Dantas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Audax Paulista's Alfredo Dantas got a free kick in the 79th minute. Orlando Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Vianna having to interfere. Acácio Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Audax Paulista's zone, Orlando Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Acácio Vianna came out of the goal and Orlando Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Silvério Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Audax Paulista's Acácio Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Leite in the 95th minute of play. Corrida's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
