The Golden Boys fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Golden Boys's Fernandinho Tróia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 12 minutes into the game, Orlando Araújo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ciro Mandrak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ernani Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malaquias SS's Eurico Arantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Malaquias SS from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the match, Malaquias SS's goalkeeper Eurico Arantes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Goiano. Ciro Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Araújo in the 24th minute of the match. Ernani Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Eurico Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eurico Arantes stood somewhat misplaced when Ernani Ribeiro came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 28 minute. Eurico Arantes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Golden Boys's Fernandinho Tróia shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-1 in the ordered_time% minute. 5-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Manuel Goiano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fernandinho Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Golden Boys's Zézinho Pontes got a free kick in the 44th minute. Dadá Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernani Ribeiro made a kick off. Ciro Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernani Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Eurico Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doriva da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Eurico Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Goiano in the 66th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Gerson de Brito put in a rough tackle. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ernani Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernani Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurico Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eurico Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ernani Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Golden Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernani Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Luisinho Sabóia took a quick shot and it went in 5-2 without a chance for Ciro Mandrak to make any attempt to save it. Wilton Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Golden Boys getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Zézinho Pontes hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Ernani Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernani Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Eurico Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederico Coutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eurico Arantes having to make a save.
