A collision led to Hawaii FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Álvaro Velloso hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Auxerre got a freekick which was hit by Severino Félix. Gabriel Villazan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson Torres in the 21st minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Auxerre got a freekick which was hit by Thomás de Lima. When Auxerre's Roberto Paraibano in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hawaii FC's goalie prevented a goal. Kléberson Torres struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Gabriel Villazan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Auxerre. Kléberson Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Villazan having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Velloso during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Hawaii FC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Velloso. Thanks to some nice moves Kléberson Torres could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Gabriel Villazan however easily saved by the left post. Mané Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Bittencourt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Barbosa in the 64th minute of play forced Auxerre's goalkeeper Sidnei Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomás de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Hawaii FC's Renan Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mané Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Thomás de Lima fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Auxerre's protests and gave Thomás de Lima a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Thomás de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Hawaii FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mané Barbosa hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Roberto Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hawaii FC's Pedrão Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sidnei Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hawaii FC's Pedrão Trigo. But to his dismay, Pedrão Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Renan Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Bittencourt having to interfere. Sidnei Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Barbosa in the 91st minute of the match. If Renan Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
