Ademar Maciel thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Duarte do Vale, a very annoying self made goal in the 11th minute which led to 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Piedade's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Santana came free, but Carlos Eduardo Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Santana in the 19th minute of play forced Piedade's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Botelho struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Duarte do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piedade. Alessandro Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robinho Lara hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Piedade's José Maria Arantes got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Piedade's Carlos Eduardo Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Santana in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessandro Queirós in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuel Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Marques having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Santana was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Piedade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Velloso to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th match minute, Piedade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Dedé Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Dedé Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Binho F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedé Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st match minute, Piedade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho da Mata to maneuver through the defense. César Meirelles was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Dedé Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Piedade getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Duarte Silveira hit a great ball. Binho F.C's Samuel Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Piedade's Custódio Severo got a free kick in the 79th minute. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Richard Botelho sped through Binho F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Duarte do Vale. In the 97th minute Samuel Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Binho F.C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Piedade's performance. The match ended with a win for Piedade.
