Dedé Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Carvalho's Kiko Faria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Carvalho from getting a goal against them. After 10 played minutes Citizens Blues F.C got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Gomes. In the 14th minute, Fernandinho da Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedé Fontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tomé Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Fontes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Citizens Blues F.C's Roberto Munhoz got a free kick in the 19th minute. The supporters of Carvalho booed when Citizens Blues F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Fernandinho da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedé Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Carvalho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Túlio Pinheiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kiko Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Túlio Pinheiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lúcio Brito was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Citizens Blues F.C's zone, Tomé Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedé Fontes came out of the goal and Tomé Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute Alessandro Figueiredo suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Citizens Blues F.C's Victor das Neves got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Victor das Neves off the ground. Carvalho's Kayhan Baykan was substituted for Alessandro Figueiredo. Victor das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Carvalho's Fernandinho da Silva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dedé Fontes. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. The supporters of Citizens Blues F.C booed when Carvalho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carvalho played a much better game than Citizens Blues F.C and deserved their victory. The Citizens Blues F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
