After 4 minutes, Eriberto Pontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BlackLions FC and the Joe Bartus FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Eriberto Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jano Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Júlio Esteves sped through BlackLions FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Osvaldo de Alcântara. When Júlio Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Joe Bartus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Esteves couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Tomé Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enéas Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute of the match, Enéas Dante tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oscar Baptista saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Jano Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Joe Bartus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jano Prestes couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, BlackLions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Esteves came free, but Osvaldo de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Enéas Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Júlio Esteves made a kick off. If Wanderson Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Jano Prestes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osvaldo de Alcântara. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enéas Dante in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, BlackLions FC's Enéas Dante got a free kick in the 61st minute. Júlio Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Osvaldo de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BlackLions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joe Bartus FC the free kick. A collision led to BlackLions FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Cristóvão Saraiva hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Joe Bartus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Dante came free, but Oscar Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Vides in the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Joe Bartus FC's zone, Hermínio Dionísio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Baptista came out of the goal and Hermínio Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Enéas Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Joe Bartus FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
