In the 7th play minute Arlindo Amaral came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Telmo Azevedo. 1-0. Ibia's Telmo Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Velloso in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Maciel in the 16th minute of play forced Mecazika EC's goalkeeper Fabiano Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arlindo Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Allan Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabiano Esteves came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibia's Arí Bueno. But to his dismay, Arí Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Arí Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Esteves having to interfere. Naldo Velloso had several of the Ibia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 34 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Telmo Azevedo as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernani Prado during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ibia booed when Mecazika EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arí Bueno in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabiano Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arí Bueno to make the kick off. When Cristiano Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibia's protests and gave Cristiano Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ibia getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Cristiano Almeida hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Arí Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naldo Velloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Bueno in the 66th minute of play forced Mecazika EC's goalkeeper Fabiano Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Ibia's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Amaral came free, but Telmo Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Ibia got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Almeida. Mecazika EC's Naldo Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Ernani Prado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Telmo Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 91 minutes, Arí Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arí Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mecazika EC's Fabiano Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Mecazika EC from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ibia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mecazika EC.
