After 16 minutes of play, Trezeano F.C.'s Fabiano Brito made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Luís Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabiano Brito got free with André Luís Gerber in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Trezeano F.C.'s André Luís Gerber threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Durval Lira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 30 played minutes Inside Job got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Vale. If Fabiano Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inside Job's André Luís Gerber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Inside Job from getting a goal against them. Ulisses Trevisan charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulisses Trevisan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Trezeano F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Inside Job:s goal. Geovânio Baptista walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 47 minutes into the match, Trezeano F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Vale came free, but Rubens de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

André Luís Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luís Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Fabiano Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Luís Gerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Armandinho Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Luís Gerber didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Durval Lira went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Renan Perez came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Inside Job fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Perez couldn't finish the play. Renan Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubens de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Perez in the 82nd minute of play. Reginaldo Tande charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reginaldo Tande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Trezeano F.C.'s Reginaldo Tande got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute Durval Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luís Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Trezeano F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Inside Job had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
