Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josué Barros in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joélson Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 minutes, Igor Leme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sucuarana Futebol Clube and the Spartan Legendary players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Sucuarana Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Igor Leme. Gláuber Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luciano Secco hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Gláuber Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Cosme having to interfere. In the 48th match minute, Sucuarana Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Matos to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Neves to make the kick off.
