Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) SELK FC's Cristiano Magalhães started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, SELK FC's Hamílton Penha got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristiano Magalhães sped through Chelsea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrézinho Soares. Rubens Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 12th minute, Teodoro Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Kléberson Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. SELK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléberson Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrézinho Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Gilson Vander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdemar Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 20th minute, Rubens Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When SELK FC's Cristiano Magalhães in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Andrézinho Soares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rubens Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 minutes, Teodoro Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsea and the SELK FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Andrézinho Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubens Medeiros in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Décio Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SELK FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Décio Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kléberson Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Soares having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, SELK FC's Cristiano Magalhães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrézinho Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. In the 48th minute Rubens Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tarcisio Soares made a kick off. Cristiano Magalhães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrézinho Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Kléberson Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. SELK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléberson Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 70th minute, SELK FC's Cristiano Magalhães dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. Décio Sá blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrézinho Soares having to make a save. After 84 minutes of play, SELK FC's Kléberson Queirós made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrézinho Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rubens Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Soares having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristiano Magalhães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andrézinho Soares. That made the score 1-9 in the 89 minute of play. Andrézinho Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SELK FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
