With a little luck, Pombos's Adilson Senna got control of the ball when Alberto Bertassi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pombos's Natã Berger couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Florindo. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Florindo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pombos:s goal. Ramiro de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Adilson Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Bertassi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Adilson Senna made a huge save. Miguel Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Pombos's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Bertassi came free, but Adilson Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Velloso came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Pombos's Jairo Cardoso. But to his dismay, Jairo Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alberto Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Adilson Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute Baltazar Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltazar Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Baltazar Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Velloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Pombos's Baltazar Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Miguel Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Florindo's goalkeeper Miguel Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jairo Cardoso. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Cardoso got free with Miguel Velloso in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Cardoso went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Angelo Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Alberto Bertassi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pombos's Adilson Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jairo Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ramiro de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florindo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramiro de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adilson Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adilson Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Bertassi in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pombos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
