In the 24thth minute of the game João Carlos Hermes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avaí F.C.'s Filipe Salgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kauã de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gláuber Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, João Carlos Hermes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gláuber Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Hermes in the 80th minute of play forced Avaí F.C.'s goalkeeper Filipe Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pescoco would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
