When Vitinho Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the ɱarceline XVII fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Vinhas couldn't finish the play. The supporters of ɱarceline XVII booed when Macarani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitinho Vinhas in the 16th minute of play forced Macarani's goalkeeper Hermínio Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Lira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Massa's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. If Narciso Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ɱarceline XVII's Carlos Alberto Baiano got a free kick in the 28th minute. The Macarani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hermínio Lago should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Macarani's Andrézinho Ramalho got a free kick in the 58th minute. ɱarceline XVII's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dida Coelho 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-2. If Narciso Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 3-3 became the score in the 80th minute when Dida Coelho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Frank Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hermínio Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Travassos in the 92nd minute of the match. Beto Tande's late challenge caught a ɱarceline XVII's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beto Tande helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Macarani got a freekick which was hit by Beto Tande. Hermínio Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Vinhas in the 97th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
