After 19 minutes, Jairo Cardoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pombos and the Baracaja FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adilson Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Platon Losada, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Gert Vennerkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júnior Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Camargo in the 41st minute of the match. Adilson Senna was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Platon Losada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Platon Losada really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

52 minutes into the match, Baracaja FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Mello came free, but Júnior Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gert Vennerkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Platon Losada struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Adilson Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baracaja FC. In the 91st minute Gert Vennerkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adilson Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Júnior Baiano made a huge save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Baracaja FC had played much better football throughout.
