Spectators: 7109 (Terracing: 5465, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dida Coelho started the match with the kick off. When Beto Tande fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macarani's protests and gave Beto Tande a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Macarani getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Beto Tande hit a great ball. Alberto Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Lago having to interfere. Frank Massa kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 9thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Florindo's keeper Miguel Velloso was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Anísio Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hermínio Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anísio Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Florindo's Alberto Bertassi got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Velloso was a little too slow when Beto Tande got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 36th minute Alberto Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Tande was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Alberto Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Hermínio Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrézinho Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Alfredão Varela, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Bertassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Macarani's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Bertassi came free, but Hermínio Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frank Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Alberto Bertassi took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Hermínio Lago to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 72 minutes, Anísio Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florindo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anísio Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Andrézinho Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Macarani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrézinho Ramalho couldn't finish the play. Miguel Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Hermínio Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Bertassi in the 79th minute of the match. Hermínio Lago didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anísio Prado went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. If Anísio Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Alberto Bertassi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hermínio Lago. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 93rd minute, Alberto Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Macarani fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Florindo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
