The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldo Bertassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jurujuba's zone, Marcelinho da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Teles came out of the goal and Marcelinho da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd match minute, Jurujuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Brito to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Michel Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Richard Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monge Radical's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franklin Teles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Coutinho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 71st playminute. Sidney Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidney Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sidney Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Franklin Teles acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 90th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jarbas Quadros. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
