Jaime Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Válter Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes Leonel Brito rounded Jango FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. After a rather tough play, Jango FC's Jaime Rodrigues got a free kick in the 15th minute. Amílton Araújo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. Reynaldo de Queirós had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Luís Guilherme Donato's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Renatinho Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Romeu Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jango FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeu Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sílvio Luís Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Quadros having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmílson França kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reynaldo de Queirós. That made the score 2-1 in the 31 minute of play. Jaime Rodrigues might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Válter Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Rodrigues ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute Jaime Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Jango FC got a corner. Real Andradas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Rodrigues ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 41st minute, Paulo Renato Porto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reynaldo de Queirós. The goal made the score 3-1. Jango FC's Durval Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Durval Lago helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Real Andradas booed when Jango FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Romeu Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jango FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeu Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
