Real C.A.Pirassununguense's Osvaldinho Cardozo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Real C.A.Pirassununguense from getting a goal against them. Osvaldinho Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Alves in the 10th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes Yucatan SC got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Alves. The audience was convinced that Arlindo Esteves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gernando Simão was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After 21 played minutes, Real C.A.Pirassununguense's Joel Campidelis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gernando Simão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real C.A.Pirassununguense reached it. Real C.A.Pirassununguense's Osvaldinho Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguinho Alves in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Richard de Almeida reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osvaldinho Cardozo. The goal made the score 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, Real C.A.Pirassununguense's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Alves came free, but Osvaldinho Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Richard de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Rodriguinho Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yucatan SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodriguinho Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Esteves in the 40th minute of play forced Yucatan SC's goalkeeper Gernando Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernando Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Esteves in the 44th minute of play. Arlindo Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gernando Simão having to interfere. Augusto de Amorim took the ball and in the 49 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gernando Simão. Gernando Simão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodriguinho Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard de Almeida in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldinho Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, Real C.A.Pirassununguense's goal looked a bit too open when Richard de Almeida came free, but Osvaldinho Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gernando Simão made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Arlindo Esteves sent off a good shot on target. Fabinho Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabinho Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fabinho Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Sá in the 63rd minute of play forced Yucatan SC's goalkeeper Gernando Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rodriguinho Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richard de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Osvaldinho Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguinho Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldinho Cardozo having to interfere. Osvaldinho Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Yucatan SC defense, Arlindo Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gernando Simão. The Yucatan SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gernando Simão should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Real C.A.Pirassununguense had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
