Lua Sporting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flávio Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some careless play in the Lua Sporting defense, Naldo das Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardinho Vale. The Lua Sporting fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardinho Vale should have stopped the shot. Naldo das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bernardinho Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Matos hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Bernardinho Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo das Neves in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lua Sporting's Angelo Matos got a free kick in the 19th minute. Naldo das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardinho Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio Marinho in the 24th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes RATOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Mendonça. After 27 minutes, Murilo Britto made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. RATOS FC's Valério da Mata tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 31 in the game by Murilo Britto from a close distance when the talented Valério da Mata managed to make a qualified save. RATOS FC's players were relieved. In the 33rd minute Flávio Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Téo Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Augusto Netto hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After having played for 40 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RATOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Guilherme Passos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Flávio Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Murilo Britto made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, RATOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Bertassi came free, but Valério da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Murilo Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Murilo Britto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lua Sporting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RATOS FC the free kick. Murilo Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Naldo das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valério da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to RATOS FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Rubinho Tasso hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Britto in the 78th minute of play forced RATOS FC's goalkeeper Valério da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Angelo Matos came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Lua Sporting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Matos couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd play minute Flávio Marinho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bernardinho Vale. 1-3. In the 93rd minute, Murilo Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The RATOS FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RATOS FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
