After a defensive mix-up in Parnaiba FC's zone, Alexandre Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Salles came out of the goal and Alexandre Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Válter Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Válter Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Válter Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tamburi's Alexandre Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute Alexandre Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Loureiro hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Fabrício Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Augusto Medeiros made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Tamburi got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Souto. If Zé Augusto Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Parnaiba FC's goalkeeper Fabiano Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Prestes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Meira in the 68th minute of play forced Tamburi's goalkeeper Aírton Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Prata having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Fabrício Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parnaiba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrício Coutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aírton Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabrício Coutinho struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Aírton Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parnaiba FC. In the 84th minute, Roberto Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Alexandre Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tamburi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Prestes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Tamburi players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Parnaiba FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
