After 17 minutes, Eriberto Vander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kings of Leon and the Balalu SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kings of Leon's Eriberto Vander got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Kings of Leon getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Juvenal Torres hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Dracena in the 23rd minute of play forced Kings of Leon's goalkeeper Wigalf Borkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Mauro Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kings of Leon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Zanette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Balalu SC's Serafim Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wigalf Borkowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafim Costa in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wigalf Borkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Serafim Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Patrick Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balalu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wigalf Borkowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Wigalf Borkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Balalu SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Dracena to strike the kick off in the second half. Serafim Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Serafim Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balalu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafim Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wigalf Borkowski, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 63 played minutes Kings of Leon got a freekick which was hit by Doni Quintal. In the 67th match minute, Balalu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Costa to maneuver through the defense. Juvenal Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. If Juvenal Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Paulão de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balalu SC's protests and gave Paulão de Salles a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Zanette in the 84th minute of play forced Balalu SC's goalkeeper Eduardo Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 91 in the game by Serafim Costa from a close distance when the talented Wigalf Borkowski managed to make a qualified save. Kings of Leon's players were relieved. Juvenal Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Simão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Balalu SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
