With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Zanette in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Magalhães saved Luzia FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that João Francisco Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wigalf Borkowski was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After the first half Luzia FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juvenal Torres made a kick off. Albertinho Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Francisco Andrade hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Luan Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luzia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luan Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wigalf Borkowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Luzia FC's zone, Juvenal Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Magalhães came out of the goal and Juvenal Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juvenal Torres during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abelardo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Torres in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Hugo Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino de Medeiros hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Kings of Leon's goalkeeper Wigalf Borkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luiz Cordeiro. Mauro Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Luzia FC's Alan Bittencourt shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Wigalf Borkowski but with some difficulty. Abelardo Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Torres's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Juvenal Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Magalhães having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Albertinho Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Luzia FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Kings of Leon from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
