Nukengo SC's Toninho Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Márcio Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sílvio Dante came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Nukengo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Dante couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costello's goalkeeper Alexandre Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lenílson Sabóia to make the kick off. Magno Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Márcio Neves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Vale when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Márcio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nukengo SC's Márcio Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Nukengo SC's Sílvio Dante dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. 82 minutes into the game, Sílvio Dante recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexandre Vale. Sílvio Dante showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Alexandre Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Neves in the 86th minute of the match. Márcio Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nukengo SC's Chiquinho Negri has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 90th minute. Márcio Nevess short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Alexandre Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nukengo SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
