César Veloso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Manaus FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 5 minutes into the match, Costello's goalkeeper Alexandre Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César Veloso. The supporters of Manaus FC booed when Costello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrado Figueiredo in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Vale saved Costello from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Veloso got free with Alexandre Vale in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Didi de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Rafinha da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri da Fonseca in the 19th minute of play. Conrado Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrado Figueiredo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute, César Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Diamantino Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alexandre Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Conrado Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Manaus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Manaus FC's Conrado Figueiredo managed to work through Costello's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Conrado Figueiredo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Manaus FC's Conrado Figueiredo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 37th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Wanderson Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Conrado Figueiredo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alexandre Vale, passed just outside the right post.

The wind increased when Conrado Figueiredo made the kick off in the second half. Osvaldinho Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kauã Miranda lost his temper 60 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 60 played minutes Manaus FC got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Miranda. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Conrado Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manaus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
