In the 3rd match minute, Descanco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilson Baiano to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Caio Neiva notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Descanco's Sydney Tavares. Sydney Tavares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 13th minute, Caio Neiva fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sydney Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. César Brito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sydney Tavares. Descanco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Brusque Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Roger de Mendonça came free, but Cesinha Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Brusque Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Rafa Fontes hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Roger de Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafa Fontes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Beto Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roger de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. César Brito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sydney Tavares. Descanco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th minute Ernesto Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Roger de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Descanco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Roger de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesinha Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernesto Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Caio Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Caio Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesinha Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 59th minute, Júlio Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Cesinha Santana managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Descanco's Beto Soares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 61 played minutes Brusque Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Pombal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Caio Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brusque Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sydney Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sydney Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Brusque Futebol Clube booed when Descanco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brusque Futebol Clube were furious when César Brito was red carded, 72 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brusque Futebol Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Cesinha Santana had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Alfredinho Velasco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Descanco's Beto Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Beto Soares came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Descanco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beto Soares couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Brusque Futebol Clube's Guilherme Pombal got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Beto Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesinha Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Brusque Futebol Clube's Cesinha Santana got control of the ball when Beto Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caio Neiva took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sydney Tavares. Sydney Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Brusque Futebol Clube's Cesinha Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Brusque Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Descanco's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
