After a rather tough play, Gian F.C.'s Raimundo Martins got a free kick in the 17th minute. Wágner Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gian F.C.'s Wágner Secco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Gian F.C. from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Álvaro Coelho in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wágner Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wágner Secco was a little too slow when Álvaro Coelho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-0. Álvaro Coelhos short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Wágner Secco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Sílvio Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Nukengo SC's goal looked a bit too open when José Paraíba came free, but Cristiano Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Álvaro Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wágner Secco was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Álvaro Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álvaro Coelho was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Sydney Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wágner Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Nukengo SC booed when Gian F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Nukengo SC defense, Décio Jacinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Paulista. The Nukengo SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Paulista should have stopped the shot. Álvaro Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Secco having to interfere. Álvaro Coelho scored 3-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wágner Secco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Alberto Capixaba was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 67 played minutes Gian F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Capixaba. After a rather tough play, Gian F.C.'s José Paraíba got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute José Paraíba suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Chiquinho Negri's late challenge caught a Gian F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chiquinho Negri helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Chiquinho Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Gian F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Coelho came free, but Wágner Secco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Álvaro Coelho sped through Gian F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wágner Secco. Toninho Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Wágner Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Jacinto hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Wágner Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Coelho couldn't finish the play. In the 89thth minute of the game Álvaro Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gian F.C.'s Wágner Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Magno Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nukengo SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gian F.C. the free kick. Magno Souza hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Nukengo SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
