Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Décio Moura took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd match minute, Ana maria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Ana maria's Miguel Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Perez in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Atlético Piauiense getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Waldemar Breckenfeld hit a great ball. When Décio Moura came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ana maria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio Moura couldn't finish the play. Angelo Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Décio Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Atlético Piauiense got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Vinhas. When Júlio Peres came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ana maria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Peres couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ana maria's goalkeeper Miguel Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Germano Perez's late challenge caught a Ana maria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Germano Perez helped the player get up and apologised. Germano Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Júlio Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atlético Piauiense's Angelo Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Moura in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute Robinho Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Germano Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Miguel Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Perez in the 52nd minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Atlético Piauiense got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Campidelis. When Ana maria's Júlio Peres in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Piauiense's goalie prevented a goal. Décio Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Glauco Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murilo Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Esteves having to interfere. Décio Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Peres in the 89th minute of play forced Atlético Piauiense's goalkeeper Angelo Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Décio Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
