If Décio Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brusque Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Cesinha Santana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wágner Secco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caio Neiva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. When Caio Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Brusque Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Neiva couldn't finish the play. Wágner Secco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luizinho de Sena. Décio Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Caio Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ernesto Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Travassos to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Décio Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gian F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Décio Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Brusque Futebol Clube's Cesinha Santana got control of the ball when Décio Jacinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Brusque Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when José Paraíba came free, but Cesinha Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Cesinha Santana managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Gian F.C.'s Décio Jacinto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cesinha Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paraíba in the 67th minute of the match. Cesinha Santana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Décio Jacinto in the 68th minute. Caio Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gian F.C.'s Gernando Pires got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ernesto Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Fernandes hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute of the match César Brito sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wágner Secco skillfully saved the ball. Wágner Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Travassos in the 80th minute of the match. Ernesto Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Secco having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Guilherme Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Travassos struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Wágner Secco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brusque Futebol Clube. 96 minutes into the match, Décio Jacinto notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Brusque Futebol Clube's Cesinha Santana. Cesinha Santana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
