Spectators: 5600 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Clemente Carneiro started the match with the kick off. In the 11thth minute of the game Henrique Macedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caveira's Hugo de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Henrique Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo de Castro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Caveira's Hugo de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jano Messias in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Miguel Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caveira and the Jupi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Caveira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Ademir Custódio made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Benjamim Capixaba sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristóvão Paraibano got free with Ademir Custódio in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jupi FC's Ademir Custódio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Jupi FC from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute of the match Germano Furlan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ademir Custódio skillfully saved the ball. Cristóvão Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute José Carlos Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 43 minutes, Jano Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jupi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jano Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamim Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ademir Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henrique Macedo was the one to do the kick off. If Benjamim Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Custódio having to interfere. Benjamim Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ademir Custódio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caveira. In the 61st minute, Jano Messias fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hugo de Castro, passed just outside the right post. Henrique Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caveira's Hugo de Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Caveira from getting a goal against them. Caveira's Hugo de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Macedo in the 67th minute of play. Ademir Custódio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Carneiro in the 69th minute of the match. Benjamim Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benedito Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedito Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ademir Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamim Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A collision led to Jupi FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Abel de Mendonça hit a great ball. If Benjamim Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Jupi FC's zone, Clemente Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademir Custódio came out of the goal and Clemente Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the match, Henrique Macedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hugo de Castro, 0-1. In the 93rd match minute, Caveira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. José Carlos Paraibano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Hugo de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique Macedo in the 96th minute of play.
