Jarbas Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charles Trancoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Arnaldo Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Gira EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BENAGRAF CARTUCHOS F.C. were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amauri Camargo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Amauri Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BENAGRAF CARTUCHOS F.C.. BENAGRAF CARTUCHOS F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Amauri Camargo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BENAGRAF CARTUCHOS F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
