With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafa Neves in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean Brito saved Okay from getting behind. The supporters of Okay booed when Barranquinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rafa Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jean Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Okay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Rogério Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Brito having to interfere. Rogério Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jean Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barranquinho. Rafa Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafa Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Rogério Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rogério Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Juarês Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benê Miranda in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Augusto Silveira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jean Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Neves in the 36th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benê Miranda made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Juarês Arantes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Augusto Silveira. Barranquinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juarês Arantes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 57th match minute, Okay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Arantes to maneuver through the defense. Jean Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clóvis Paulista made a great header on Barranquinho's corner, it was just that Okay's Jean Brito managed to reach the ball for a save. When Benê Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Okay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Miranda couldn't finish the play. The Barranquinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Augusto Silveira should have stopped the shot. Okay's Jean Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Okay from getting a goal against them. Benê Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. The Okay fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barranquinho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
