When Luiz Fernando Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AD Girl Power's protests and gave Luiz Fernando Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes AD Girl Power got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Pontes. Laércio Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of AD Girl Power booed when 9 de Fevereiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Elias Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the AD Girl Power fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Tepedino couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Douglas Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, AD Girl Power's Luiz Fernando Pontes made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raí Galvão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Douglas Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Raí Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Elias Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the AD Girl Power fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Tepedino couldn't finish the play. After 36 minutes, Kiko Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AD Girl Power and the 9 de Fevereiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AD Girl Power getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Kiko Cavalcante hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Ramos in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raí Galvão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raí Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Ramos was the one to do the kick off. Raí Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raí Galvão was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Luiz Fernando Pontes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Fernando Pontes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. 9 de Fevereiro's Raí Galvão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save 9 de Fevereiro from getting a goal against them. Emílio Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Douglas Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AD Girl Power's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, one of 9 de Fevereiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 9 de Fevereiro. In the 87th minute, Luiz Fernando Pontes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Raí Galvão, passed just outside the right post. If Douglas Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fernando Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over AD Girl Power could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than 9 de Fevereiro throughout the match.
