Dalmo Massa ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Arata getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Simão Valle hit a great ball. The supporters of SóCapimCanela FC booed when Arata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandão Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dalmo Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Fonseca having to interfere. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Rui Catarinense sped through Arata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Orlando Fonseca. Dalmo Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernandão Carioca hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui Catarinense made a kick off. Cauã Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandão Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cauã Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaká Vasconcelos charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaká Vasconcelos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SóCapimCanela FC's Ezequiel Cardozo got a free kick in the 74th minute.
