The supporters of Brasília United MZ Team booed when Estrema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Tavares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Terra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Estrema's Nelson Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Tavares in the 67th minute of play. If Dino Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Branco hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Valdomiro Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson Terra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinei Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Gil Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estrema's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gil Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
