The Nordestina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doni Brodel should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Seriema AD's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Sousa came free, but Tadeo Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadeo Fernendo made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Angelo Freitas sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Nordestina defense, Luís Fernando Medeiros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doni Brodel. The Nordestina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doni Brodel should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Jaime Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nordestina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seriema AD the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Nordestina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Nordestina's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Medeiros came free, but Doni Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gualter Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Tião Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tadeo Fernendo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Nordestina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as 周奕树 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Doni Brodel. That made the score 1-4 in the 59 minute of play. Seriema AD's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
