Spectators: 7257 (Terracing: 5444, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lúcio Ribeiro kicked off to start the match. Fernandinho Motta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ismael de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Basílio de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Vinhas. Fred Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ismael de Andrade succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 24th playminute. After 27 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Salles. After having played for 29 minutes, Fred Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 32nd play minutes Ismael de Andrade shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Basílio de Barros and just under the crossbar into goal. Basílio de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fred Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio de Barros having to interfere. If Ismael de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fred Veloso made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Veloso in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basílio de Barros saved Flamengo from getting behind. Basílio de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Fred Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Basílio de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LAZZARI SPORT CLUB! Bernardinho Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Ribeiro in the 78th minute of play forced LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's goalkeeper Válter de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Gomes's late challenge caught a Flamengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. Bernardinho Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardinho Salles got free with Válter de Godoi in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute Ismael de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th match minute, LAZZARI SPORT CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandinho Motta to maneuver through the defense. Válter de Godoi made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Bernardinho Salles sent off a good shot on target. LAZZARI SPORT CLUB's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
