After a defensive mix-up in Baxix's zone, Luiz Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Mesquita came out of the goal and Luiz Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dadá Britto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Waldir Ramalho came out and tried to block the shot, but Dadá Britto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. If Cristiano Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jacunda's Waldir Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Britto in the 29th minute of play. Cristiano Lewandowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Mesquita having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, 周浩国 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacunda's supporters rose to their feet, but 周浩国 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vladimir de Lara hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristiano Lewandowski in the 41st managed to get into a good position. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reinaldo Xavier to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Lewandowski got free with Francisco Mesquita in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Mesquita made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Cristiano Lewandowski sent off a good shot on target. Luiz Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Cristiano Lewandowski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jacunda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dadá Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Cristiano Lewandowski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Baxix's Francisco Mesquita. Francisco Mesquita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Juarês Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jacunda's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
