In the 11th minute Cristiano Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaká Veloso hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Zé Pedro Teles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Waldir Ramalho. The goal made the score 1-0. After some careless play in the Galo 1908 defense, Cristiano Lewandowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cléberson Andrade. The Galo 1908 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléberson Andrade should have stopped the shot. Cristiano Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cléberson Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Lewandowski in the 41st minute of play. Juarês Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Cristiano Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Lewandowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléberson Andrade was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Waldir Ramalho came out of the goal and Reginaldo de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Cristiano Lewandowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Cléberson Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Cristiano Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Andrade came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jacunda's Cristiano Lewandowski. But to his dismay, Cristiano Lewandowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Cristiano Lewandowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléberson Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Reginaldo de Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldir Ramalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Jacunda's Cristiano Lewandowski got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Luiz Koehler fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Reginaldo de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes Jacunda got a freekick which was hit by Virginijus Džiuvė.
