Spectators: 6661 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eliseu Vieira kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, S. E. Roca's Gualter Gonçalves got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S. E. Roca! S. E. Roca:s Ediberto Salles showed great skill when he stopped Tony Favoretto:s penalty. S. E. Roca's Ediberto Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save S. E. Roca from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Arapira SC's Eliseu Vieira got a free kick in the 12th minute. 19 minutes into the match, S. E. Roca's Nico Luz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fábio Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ediberto Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Vieira in the 20th minute of play. Eliseu Vieira struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Ediberto Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arapira SC. 27 minutes into the match, S. E. Roca's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Vieira came free, but Ediberto Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Arnaldo Saraiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Fábio Mendes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Bruno de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luís Fábio Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cláudio Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cláudio Reis came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Arapira SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Reis couldn't finish the play. After the first half S. E. Roca were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico Luz made a kick off. In the 60th minute of the match Doni Pinheiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ediberto Salles skillfully saved the ball. Tony Favoretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ediberto Salles having to make a save. After 72nd play minutes Cláudio Reis shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Ediberto Salles and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Luz in the 79th minute of play forced Arapira SC's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno de Salles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Fábio Mendes came out and tried to block the shot, but Bruno de Salles slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 80th minute. S. E. Roca's Ediberto Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Reis in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S. E. Roca's Arnaldo Saraiva got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute, Eliseu Vieira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arapira SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 93 minutes into the match, Arapira SC's Cláudio Reis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ediberto Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Bruno de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The S. E. Roca supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing S. E. Roca would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
