The Botafogo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Dorival de Brito notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Monte Cristo FC's Aurelio Chaime. Aurelio Chaime was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dorival de Brito struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Aurelio Chaime didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo. The tension between the Botafogo and the Monte Cristo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dorival de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Humberto Valladares came free in the 76th minute and tried to tip the ball over Kauã Braga, but to the joy of Botafogo's supporters the ball went over. Zé Carlos Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
