The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of S. E. In the 26th minute, Nico Luz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cacá Munhoz. The goal made the score 2-0. Osvaldinho Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Salles having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Nico Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S. E. Roca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score was now 2-1. Cacá Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ediberto Salles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldinho Madureira went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to S. E. Roca getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nico Luz hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Palhoça's goalkeeper Cacá Munhoz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 73 played minutes Deportivo Palhoça got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Fonda. Nico Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cacá Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deportivo Palhoça's Cacá Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno de Salles in the 79th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldinho Madureira in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ediberto Salles saved S. E. Roca from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Palhoça's zone, Nico Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Munhoz came out of the goal and Nico Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Palhoça left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S. E. Roca.
